Do you offer in-person services?

No - Modern Skills does not offer an in-person program our program is designed for peer groups and consultations through telehealth via Zoom for Healthcare. Our sister organization Applied Behavior Technologies. offers in-person groups in the Reno, Nevada region.

What makes our work unique?

At Modern Skills, we use a comprehensive behavioral approach that focuses on helping the learner acquire new skills as well as a person-centered approach to reduction of undesirable behaviors. We help learners replace less desirable behaviors with effective behaviors that will promote their success in relationships, at school or work and out in the community. Our sessions are led by a Board Certified and
Licensed Behavior Analyst with nearly 20 years of experience. Every session includes comprehensive social coach/parent/caregiver training so that the individual is supported within and outside of sessions in the most comprehensive way possible.  

How do I know it's for me?

We suggest you start with a free 30-minute consultation with a Behavioral Analyst to determine if the program is the correct fit.  

How does Modern Skills support neurodiversity/neurodiverse populations?

We utilize an assent-based approach which is led by the learner and his or her values. We strive to help support individuals in becoming the person whom they want to be and showing up in this way consistently in their daily life.

What makes our social groups effective?

Do you accept insurance?

No, our social skills group therapy program does not accept insurance. We do accept FSA/HSA cards as well as credit and debit.

How much does it cost?

The cost per 90-minute social group session is $195, this includes all handouts, materials as well as social coach/caregiver training and materials.

What ages do you accept in your groups?

Our program has different groups based on ages ranging from high school and college-age peers through adulthood.  

What is the size of your groups?

We tend to keep groups to the 4-8 person range.

What is your cancellation policy?

We believe your care and the value you receive from the program is of the utmost importance; you have the freedom to cancel with a 30-day notice to ensure adequate care wrap-up and reporting.  

Do I need a referral?

We are a privately owned organization, and we don't require referrals in order to get started with us.

How do I get started?
